Full transparency. We operate with maximum transparency and all meetings and meeting minutes are open unless they include personally confidential information. We believe that transparency makes us make better decisions and causes better work atmosphere.
Everyone is trusted as an owner and we’re all responsible for acting in the long term interest of the entire company. We are CEOs of our own. We operate and make independent decisions like it would be our own business.
If something should be done smarter, we share our suggestions openly to everybody. If there’s trash on the floor, we pick it up. Our travel policy is short – act in Goodie’s best interest.
Growing and determined
We are aiming at the top of the world. We don’t want to be best in our neighbourhood, we are the best in the world! We choose wisely in which part of the technology we will be best in the world. If we think that we cannot be best in some initiative, we partner or choose existing technologies and methodologies.
Being best in the world requires high quality. Quality is subjective and always linked to the definition of it. We provide our services in high quality as defined in the scope of services provided. Without scope there’s no measure of quality and by definition, quality cannot be met. Hence we always scope what we do and do it in high quality.
Innovation – demo or die
We keep on innovating, disrupting and creating new methodologies and ways of working so that we remain agile and adaptive. However, we never re-invent the wheel unless the new one will be significantly better than the one and part of our core. We encourage others to innovate too and are part of student initiatives to stay on top of cutting edge research and latest talent. We strongly support a demo culture.
We are close to our customers and innovate with them. We surprise them with cool stuff occasionally. This keeps us ahead of the competition.
Collaborative, humble and honest
We collaborate and are confident but humble. We don’t call or think of our customers as accounts from whom we’d try to get as much money as possible. They are our partners.
Our goal is to genuinely help our customers achieve what they are trying to achieve with as little money as possible, while making us a sustainable business. Sustainability comes from being that best, honest friend of our customers who trust us and come back to us.
We also give back to the developer community and let the good flow. We encourage being part of open source projects.
Agile, energetic and love to learn
We are hungry, energetic and passionate to learn new things. Every situation is an opportunity to learn. Learn about your customers, co-workers and other teams. We keep in mind that what we know today will be outdated in few years. We learn to learn.
We also adapt quickly. We choose technologies that enable us to adapt to customer and market needs faster than our competitors. We work smart. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. That’s how we beat the Goliaths.
